In 2023, Parade joined forces with its now parent company, Ariela & Associates (AAi), a privately held global manufacturer of intimate apparel both in the branded and private label space. Over the past 30 years, AAi has become a leader in creating fashionable products and providing excellent customer service to both wholesale clients and retail consumers.

JOB SUMMARY

The Associate Print/Graphics Designer will work within the CAD/Graphics team for the Parade brand to implement pattern/graphics direction in all aspects of the design process, from the initial concept stage and presentation to the development and execution of the final product.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Work with design/concept teams to establish pattern/color/trend direction and interpret into artwork appropriate for the Parade brand.
  • Oversee all aspects of presentation from boards to articulation of ideas and seasonal direction.
  • Make frequent presentations to design/merchandising and production teams.
  • Push innovation in print and graphics while maintaining Parade’s brand DNA.
  • Research and create new trends in graphic design and production techniques.
  • Manage and provide art direction for graphic scale, concept, and placement.
  • Protect brand handwriting and DNA across all patterns and graphics.
  • Create and color patterns, seamless layouts, and textures.
  • Create a technical breakdown of all pattern, fabric, and graphic layouts for design as a communication tool for development.
  • Provide production-ready artwork, in both print and electronic format, for internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate with design to approve strike-offs and fabric developments.
  • Collaborate with design on visualization, presentation, and communication of pattern concepts through CAD artwork.
  • Delivering newness and innovation is key; elevate brand aesthetic by delivering on-trend fashion graphics.
  • Manage and balance workload. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple seasons at once.
  • In-person/in-office collaboration is required three to five days a week, dictated by business needs. Such collaboration includes work centralized around product development, milestone meetings, and approvals.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or Textile Design ( or equivalent experience in CAD design)
  • At least 2 years of related print or graphic experience
  • Knowledge of graphic development and execution/production.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & InDesign required.
  • Knowledge of repeat patterns, textile printing, yarn dye reproduction.
  • Strong sense of color for the creation of color ways and the ability to match color accurately.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to act as the liaison between many departments: excellent communication and analytic skills.
