Who We Are:

Parade’s focus is on rewriting the underwear story to make underwear more accessible, inclusive and fun. We launched in October 2019 and since then have grown rapidly. Parade has been honored by Awards and publications such as but not limited to, Webby awards, InStyle, Nylon, Teen Vogue, Refinery29 and Forbes.

In fall 2023 Parade joined forces with its now parent company, Ariela & Associates (AAI), a privately held global manufacturer of intimate apparel both in the branded and private label space. Over the past 30 years, they have become leaders in creating fashionable products and providing excellent customer service to both wholesale clients and retail consumers.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop specifications for styles including how to measure (using Illustrator), points of measure, sewing instructions, cutting instructions.
  • Contributes to strategy development of best sewing and measuring methods.
  • Evaluates factory made garments (FIT/PP/Prod/In-Line) and completes fit comments reports.
  • Prioritizes model needs and fit comments completion based on the urgency of factory submits.
  • Answers emails, intra-company emails, and those from Hong Kong office employees and factories. Communicates changes or updates.
  • Creates and maintains pattern files, including approved final garments, fit & grade garments, patterns, BOM, and spec.
  • Attend fittings for styles that they are working on, takes pictures and on body measurements and records/files them as needed.
  • Prepares final production packages for factories and QC packages on a weekly basis.
  • Knowledgeable in basic sewing methods and best-fit standards.
  • Familiar with use of block patterns.

What You'll Need:

  • 4-5 years as a Technical Designer
  • Must have experience in directly making patterns, correcting patterns, and grading.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical design or equivalent experience.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Estimate fabric and trim needs for fit projects.
  • Good understanding of sewing methods, machines & attachments.
