ABOUT YOU AND THE ROLE
We are looking for entry-level Map Annotators to join the Maps Operations team. In this role, you will support the creation and maintenance of high-quality geospatial datasets that enable safe and reliable drone delivery operations. You’ll work closely with GIS technicians, specialists, and engineers to annotate maps used for flight planning and site deployment.
This is a great opportunity for candidates who are eager to build hands-on experience in applied geospatial workflows.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Annotate geospatial features (e.g., buildings, roads, power lines, obstacles) using internal and third-party mapping tools.
- Review and update map annotations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards.
- Support map preparation for new delivery sites and service area expansions.
- Perform basic quality control checks on annotated datasets.
- Follow defined annotation guidelines and contribute to improving annotation workflows.
- Collaborate with team members to meet weekly production targets and timelines.
- Document work and flag data issues or ambiguities for review.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Basic understanding of GIS concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured workflows.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
- Basic experience working with spreadsheets or task-tracking tools.
WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Must have legal right to work in Rwanda
- This is a 6 months Internship Program based in Kigali.
