What You'll Do
The Technician I is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely recovery and relocation of aircraft that have been grounded, disabled, abandoned, or otherwise in need of retrieval. This role requires exceptional logistical coordination, and adherence to all regulatory and safety standards. The specialist ensures that aircraft are returned to the Maintenance HUB or transported to designated facilities with minimal risk to personnel, equipment, and the environment.
What You'll Bring

Recovery Operations: Assess aircraft condition and operational status on-site; develop and execute recovery plans for grounded or stranded aircraft.

Transportation & Logistics: Coordinate with maintenance teams, pilots, transport crews, and regulatory bodies to ensure proper relocation.

Safety & Compliance: Follow FAA, ICAO, and Zipline safety protocols, ensuring retrieval operations meet all applicable aviation laws and guidelines.

Damage Prevention: Use specialized recovery equipment, towing systems, and lifting devices to move aircraft without causing further damage.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of retrieval activities, inspection results, incident reports, and update Odoo locations.

Emergency Response: Act as part of a rapid deployment team for time-sensitive retrieval missions

Maintenance Support: Assist maintenance personnel in initial troubleshooting, bring up or basic repairs

Training & Preparedness: Stay current with recovery techniques, equipment operation, and safety certifications.

Must be able to support shift work including, but not limited to days/evenings, weekends, etc.

Must be able to travel 5-10%, as necessary

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Ability to lift and or move up to 55 pounds

Must have a valid US Driver's License

Must be able to receive Repairmen Certification

Preferred Qualifications

Aviation maintenance, aircraft operations, or logistics-related degree/certifications preferred.

Prior experience in heavy equipment operation, towing, or aircraft ground handling highly desirable.

Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with customers, resolving inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience
What Else You Need to Know
The starting cash range for this role is $25/hour. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact. T
