About You and The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will architect, develop and oversee the portfolio of Business Systems managed by Zipline’s Finance function. Finance at Zipline owns the company’s path to profitability (which is fundamental for Zipline to achieve its mission globally) and drives high priority initiatives to get us there. This role plays a crucial role to empower the business with a single source of truth, actionable operational and financial insights, as well as scalable, efficient and compliant processes. He/she will help us see around corners and invest every dollar in new systems wisely. The ideal candidate for this role has strong analytical and communication skills and strikes the right balance between scrappy and quality. They will help grow our team to a world-class finance organization that is customer service-oriented and highly accountable.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate our current systems and develop/maintain the future multi-year finance systems roadmap
  • Build finance system teams and manage tech developers and external vendors as needed
  • Provide expertise, technical support, administration, and maintenance of all internal finance and accounting systems - currently NetSuite, Tipalti, Odoo, Carta, and Expensify
  • Participate/lead new business discussion from a tech/process perspective representing Finance
  • Perform and facilitate testing of end to end solution (inclusive of non-financial systems)
  • Act as liaison with business for troubleshooting: investigation, analysis, and solves software/tech problems
  • Map business requirements, processes and objectives; develops necessary product modifications
  • Support all aspects of internal and external audit as related to accounting systems
  • Project manage cross-functional system projects
  • Oversee and support relevant budget management

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting Systems
  • Prior experience implementing ERP systems
  • Experience administering and modifying ERP software in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment
  • Experience with NetSuite (a plus)
  • Strong Microsoft SQL skills – writing queries and stored procedures
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills – pivot tables and macros
  • An excellent understanding of standard business practices related to accounting
  • A strong work ethic to solve problems, accomplish objectives, and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards

What Else You Need to Know

The starting cash range for this role is $155,000 - $185,000. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact. The total compensation package for this role may also include: equity compensation; discretionary annual or performance bonuses; sales incentives; benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance; paid time off; and more.
