Your role as a DevOps Specialist
We are seeking a DevOps Specialist with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our team. As a DevOps Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our GCP infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will work closely with our software development teams to ensure that our applications are highly available, scalable, and reliable.
What you'll be doing:
- Design and build our GCP infrastructure, including server provisioning, configuration management, and automated deployments.
- Manage our GCP environment, ensuring that it is highly available, scalable, and secure.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate their applications into our deployment pipelines.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of our applications using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring & Logging.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on infrastructure changes made by other team members.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining a GitOps-based CI/CD pipeline using tools such as ArgoCD.
- Continuously improve system performance and reliability through load testing, capacity planning, and optimization.
- Ensure the security and compliance of our infrastructure and systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and reliably.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in DevOps and cloud infrastructure management.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in software development or infrastructure automation.
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and VPC.
- Strong scripting skills with experience in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining a CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Jenkins, HarnessCI, or CircleCI.
- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
