VeeFriends is a contemporary entertainment company that combines art, storytelling, collecting, events, and innovative technologies to build a community around a movement of kindness and positivity.

The company’s mission is to scale its unique VeeFriends characters and their attributes to create a better world. These characters foster a sense of community and inspire creativity, self-discovery, accountability, and personal growth.

Originally hand-drawn by Gary Vaynerchuk, the VeeFriends universe consists of 283 characters — each representing traits and qualities he admires and aims to inspire in others.

ABOUT THE ROLE

VeeFriends is seeking a high-energy, relatable Food & Wellness Live Host (1099 contractor) to showcase wellness products through engaging, interactive live shopping experiences.

This role blends content creation, live selling, and storytelling, requiring someone who can authentically connect with audiences, communicate product benefits, and drive real-time engagement and conversions.

As part of VeeFriends’ expanding Live Commerce ecosystem, this host will play a key role in launching and growing new product categories while building a loyal, engaged community.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Live Selling & Hosting

• Host high-energy, on-camera live shopping streams featuring food and wellness products
• Demonstrate products in real time, communicate benefits, and drive purchasing decisions
  Maintain strong viewer engagement, momentum, and retention throughout broadcasts
  
  
  

Content & Storytelling

• Create engaging, relatable content that aligns with current trends and audience interests
• Communicate product benefits in a natural, lifestyle-driven way
• Bring personality, authenticity, and creativity to every stream

Live Commerce & Growth

• Apply live selling best practices to improve conversion, engagement, and repeat viewership
• Collaborate cross-functionally with the Live Commerce team to understand performance metrics and optimize shows
• Provide feedback and insights on content strategy, platform performance, and channel growth

Community & Brand Building

• Build and engage a loyal audience through consistent interaction and presence
• Develop a recognizable on-screen voice within the VeeFriends ecosystem
• Support content creation beyond live streams, including social and promotional content

Product & Strategy Input

• Share feedback on product performance, audience preferences, and emerging trends
• Collaborate with product and brand teams to help shape future offerings
• Stay informed on wellness trends, consumer behavior, and content formats

WHO YOU ARE

On-Camera Talent

• Confident, engaging, and high-energy personality with strong live presentation skills
• Comfortable improvising, interacting with chat, and maintaining energy during extended streams

Live Commerce / Creator Experience

• Experience with live selling, content creation, or social commerce strongly preferred
• Understanding of audience engagement, urgency, and conversion in a live format
• Active presence on social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, etc.) with experience creating content or building an audience is a strong plus

Wellness & Lifestyle Alignment

• Passion for health, wellness, or better-for-you products
• Comfortable speaking about ingredients, benefits, and lifestyle positioning in an authentic way

Additional Skills

• Familiarity with streaming tools (OBS, Streamyard, etc.) preferred

• Interested in contributing beyond hosting — including content, strategy, and community building

TERMS & COMPENSATION

• Freelance, 1099 independent contractor role
• Compensation: $25–$30/hour, based on experience and performance
• Up to 25 hours per week
• On-site role based in NYC
• Opportunities for increased hours, recurring programming, and expanded responsibilities based on performance

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Schedule: Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for live shows
Environment: In-person studio setting in NYC
