Job Summary: Create design content to support all aspects of the business, including social media content, merchandise design, packaging, brand and marketing assets, event materials, website, and blog banner. Please note: This is a 3-month contract with a strong possibility of an additional 3-month extension. The residency contract can lead to a full-time permanent role with VeeFriends based on business needs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Led the design process for a wide range of visual content, including graphics, illustrations, social media content, website & blog elements, marketing material, and merchandise.
  • Holding an elevated standard of quality while championing the brand.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, social, marketing, tech, and commerce, to develop and execute compelling designs that align with our brand, help carry our message, resonate with our audience, and drive engagement.
  • Champion the brand by ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all design projects. Work alongside the creative director to continually evolve, push, and elevate our brand identity while remaining true to our core values and mission.
  • Empathy-lead Creative: Create designs that resonate emotionally with our audience and enhance a human-centric brand experience.
  • Ownership: Own the work. Take ownership of design projects from concept to completion. Manage timelines and resources effectively to meet deadlines. Process stakeholder feedback and revise accordingly based on design expertise, high standards, and brand consistency.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong eye for design and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Excellent interpersonal skills.·
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.·
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.·
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.·
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Highly skilled in typography, color theory, and design principles.
  • It is not required, but a plus is Figma, motion graphics, and illustration.

Education Requirements

  • College-level education in Graphic Design or equivalent.At least two years of experience in the design industry.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 50 lbs at times
