Supply Chain Consulting Engagement — Build Role
Location: Remote with travel to Connecticut · Massachusetts · Georgia (Multi-Site)
Compensation: $10,000–$18,000/month | Performance Bonus Available
Duration: 3–6 Month Engagement (3-Month Minimum Commitment)
A multi-state, vertically integrated cannabis operator with nine dispensaries and two cultivation sites across CT, MA, and GA is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Consultant to build and operationalize a centralized procurement function from the ground up.
This is a hands-on build engagement, not an advisory role. You will own the full SCOR framework across planning, sourcing, manufacturing inputs, and delivery for all non-cannabis inventory. You will design the systems, negotiate the contracts, stand up the reporting, and hand off a fully operational function at close.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a full spend and vendor audit across all sites, trailing 12 months
- Design and implement procurement governance, vendor approval workflows, and ERP discipline in Acumatica
- Lead multi-category RFPs across packaging, cultivation consumables, MRO, and manufacturing inputs
- Stand up S&OP cadence and cross-functional reporting to VP of Finance and CEO
- Build live KPI dashboards and a full SOP library to outlast the engagement
- Negotiate vendor contracts, payment terms, and consolidation opportunities across three states
- Develop and present a board-ready EBITDA impact report at engagement close
Qualifications
- 7–12+ years in supply chain
- Cannabis experience is required, similar industries like CPG, food & bev, or pharma preferred
- Multi-site operations experience required
- Hands-on ERP experience required, Acumatica strongly preferred; NetSuite, Sage, or SYSPRO considered
- Demonstrated RFP design and contract negotiation experience with verifiable savings
- Proven consulting track record with defined deliverables and clean transitions
- Three or more verifiable CFO, COO, or CEO-level references required
- Comfortable building and presenting EBITDA impact models to executive leadership
