Pharmacist Opportunities – Medical Cannabis Retail

Virginia Beach / Hampton Roads Region, VA

Vangst is partnering with a leading medical cannabis operator to hire multiple Pharmacists across the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. These opportunities offer the chance to combine patient care with one of the fastest-growing sectors in healthcare within a highly regulated and patient-focused retail environment.

We are currently hiring for the following positions:

1. Floating Pharmacist – Hampton Roads Region

Hourly | $57.69–$60/hr + True Overtime

This role will support approximately 6 dispensary locations throughout the Virginia Beach / Hampton Roads market, assisting with scheduling coverage, vacations, and operational support across stores.

2. Staff Pharmacist – Hampton, VA

Hourly | $57.69–$60/hr + True Overtime

This is a full-time, non-traveling onsite Pharmacist opportunity based in Hampton, VA. The role is focused on patient consultations, dispensing, inventory management, and supporting daily dispensary operations.

3. Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) – TBA

Salary | $130,000–$140,000 + Bonus Eligibility

The Pharmacist in Charge will oversee pharmacy operations at a Virginia location to be announced, supporting compliance, team leadership, inventory oversight, and operational execution within the dispensary.

Responsibilities Across Roles

  • Provide patient consultations and education regarding medical cannabis products
  • Review physician recommendations and verify patient certifications
  • Dispense products accurately and compliantly
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and support compliance procedures
  • Assist with audits, quality control, and operational documentation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and patient-focused environment
  • Collaborate closely with store leadership and support teams

Qualifications

  • Active Virginia Pharmacist license in good standing
  • PharmD or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required
  • Retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Interest in medical cannabis and cannabinoid education
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment

Cannabis experience is welcomed, but not required.
