Job Title: Account Executive — Field Sales (Cannabis Industry)
Location: Field-Based (Assigned Territory) New York City
Compensation: $60,000 Base + Commission (OTE $100K–$110K+)
Overview
A rapidly growing, innovative company in the cannabis sector is seeking a field-based Account Executive to drive revenue growth within an assigned territory. This is an outside sales role focused on developing new business, managing existing accounts, and building long-term retail partnerships. The position offers strong earning potential through a combination of base pay, commission, and performance bonuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, pitch, and close new business with dispensaries and retail partners
- Manage and grow existing accounts to increase repeat sales and revenue
- Conduct in-person product demos and sales presentations
- Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking within CRM systems
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies
- Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations
- Deliver excellent customer service and build lasting client relationships
Qualifications
- 2+ years of outside sales or B2B sales experience (CPG or cannabis preferred)
- Proven ability to close deals and negotiate effectively
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a field environment
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Excel (including pivot tables)
- Interest or experience in the cannabis industry is a plus
- Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel regularly within territory
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $60,000 + uncapped commission (OTE $100K–$110K+)
