Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Denver, CO (Onsite)

Company: Vangst (Client Company Confidential)

Pay: $23.00/hour

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Summary

Vangst is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a client in the manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payment processing, collections, and account reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally with clients regarding billing and payments.

Key Responsibilities

Invoice Management

  • Generate and distribute invoices in accordance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Ensure invoices accurately reflect product sales, discounts, and applicable taxes

Payment Processing

  • Process and record incoming payments including cash, credit, and electronic transfers
  • Reconcile payments against invoices and resolve discrepancies

Collections

  • Monitor overdue accounts and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Manage accounting email inbox and respond to billing inquiries
  • Communicate with clients regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to apply approved credits to customer accounts

Account Reconciliation

  • Perform regular account reconciliations
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Prepare and review aging reports and financial data

Reporting

  • Generate and analyze accounts receivable reports
  • Provide weekly status updates to leadership
  • Offer insights and recommendations to improve AR processes

Customer Service & Collaboration

  • Respond to customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and account status
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Partner with finance and sales teams to support overall financial operations

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable or similar accounting role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy

Work Environment

  • Onsite office environment within a manufacturing facility
  • 30+ hours per week
  • Monday – Thursday schedule (3-day weekends)
