Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Post-Harvest Manager to lead and oversee post-harvest operations at a New York cannabis cultivation facility. This role is responsible for managing post-harvest processes from cultivation handoff through packaging and preparation for distribution, while maintaining high standards for quality, compliance, and efficiency.

This is a unique opportunity to help build post-harvest operations during an early-stage facility launch, backed by a well-established and successful multi-state cannabis operator.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all post-harvest activities, including drying, curing, trimming, packaging, and storage
  • Ensure the flower moves efficiently and consistently from cultivation through distribution readiness
  • Work closely with the Head Cultivator to align harvest schedules and post-harvest workflows
  • Implement and maintain post-harvest SOPs to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance
  • Hire, train, and manage the post-harvest team
  • Build and optimize packaging and production workflows
  • Maintain accurate production, inventory, and quality records
  • Support quality control efforts to ensure product meets brand and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate with sales and distribution teams to support order schedules
  • Utilize METRC and production software (Distru) for tracking and reporting
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment

Qualifications

  • Prior experience managing post-harvest operations in a cannabis environment
  • Experience working in high-volume or scaling production facilities
  • Strong understanding of post-harvest processes and quality control
  • Experience implementing and following SOPs
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to build and manage teams
  • Familiarity with METRC; Distru experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work on-site and collaborate cross-functionally
