Summary

We are seeking rock stars to join a team of Outdoor Cultivation Technicians. Hired team members will be working outdoors on 2 acres of land to provide care and support for plant cultivation. This is a temporary but long-term project, and successful candidates could have the opportunity for direct hire.    The Cultivation Technician provides manual labor which supports the activities and operations of our cultivation department while abiding by laws, rules, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.  Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, positive individual who can think of no better way to spend the workday than tending, pruning, and growing the healthiest cannabis plants with expert care and precision. 

Salary

$18.00 / hour

Working Environment

  • Outdoor work
  • High humidity and temperatures, ranging between 80-100 degrees F during summer months
  • Working with a team
  • Morning Stretching and frequent hydration breaks
  • Outdoor break room trailer and restrooms
  • Exposure to sprays for preventative pest maintenance

Role Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage marijuana plants, giving each individual plant the attention it needs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers
  • Responsible for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information, and policies when performing duties
  • Defoliate plants
  • Prepare plants for harvest
  • Harvest designated plants for fresh frozen
  • Process fresh frozen material
  • Harvest designated plants for drying process
  • Hang plants in drying trailer
  • Breakdown / grind dried material
  • Conduct post-harvest field clean up
  • Break down outdoor equipment for storage
  • Clean out greenhouse
  • Clean out the pole barn
  • Clean out drying trailer
  • Store outdoor equipment in designated locations
  • Mow non-cultivation areas within the perimeter fence line
  • Landscape along perimeter fence
  • Remove miscellaneous debris
  • Accomplish all tasks appropriately assigned or requested

Physical Requirements

  • This is a physically intensive job, and candidates must be comfortable working all day outdoors
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, lifting, walking, standing, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions
  • Able to lift, carry and balance up to 75 pounds (125 pounds with assistance)
  • Walking and standing for extended periods of time on unlevel surfaces, as well as stooping, bending, and crouching

Experience

  • Regulations require that applicants be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain state marijuana work credentials
  • Prior outdoor labor, farm work, production, construction, nursery, landscaping, and/or agricultural experience preferred
  • Cannabis experience is helpful but not required
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time
  • Ability to work effectively and in a cohesive team atmosphere in all areas
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math and computer skills

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent
