Moving can be chaotic, but it doesn't have to be. At MoveHQ, we're transforming the moving experience by providing innovative solutions that bring clarity and efficiency to every step of the process. We replace the stress of moving with the confidence of knowing every detail is handled.

We’re looking for a seasoned Director of Product to help build the team, product operations, and software that puts customers in control and gives moving professionals a powerful new tool. The industry still largely runs on paper and we’re bringing them into the mobile age.

About the Role:

You'll be the operational force leading our product team and executing the product vision. You'll lead a team of product managers, guiding them in prioritizing features, refining requirements, and collaborating with engineering to deliver exceptional products. You will partner closely with our VP of Products and work with different stakeholders across customers, numerous third parties, and national moving companies to understand their needs and solidify our long term product roadmap.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Process Improvement: Drive operational excellence within the product team, implementing best practices for product management and development.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of product managers operating as a player-coach, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with external stakeholders and internal teams to gather and refine detailed product requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, design, and other teams to ensure successful product development and delivery.
  • Roadmap Development: Translate high-level requirements into a detailed product roadmap, prioritizing features based on impact and feasibility.

About You:

You're a seasoned product leader with a passion for solving complex problems and a proven track record of delivering impactful products in regulated environments. You have a deep understanding of product management principles and a strong technical aptitude.

You possess the following skills and experience:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop a compelling product vision and translate it into an actionable roadmap.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of software development and API integrations.
  • Team Leadership: Experience building and leading high-performing product teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience working in a government or regulated environment with auditing requirements
