Financial Analyst
Location: Boston, MA

Based in Boston, this is a hybrid position that requires 2-3 days in the office.

As we continue to scale our global reach, we are seeking a Financial Analyst to support our Finance team with a focus on accounts receivable and accounts payable management, as well as month-end financial reporting processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices and employee expenses in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring proper account and departmental coding, period cutoff / amortization schedules, as well as internal approvals and compliance with company policies
  • Reconcile inventory invoices to purchase orders; investigate differences and resolve in cooperation with Operations and Sourcing teams
  • Prepare and execute weekly payment runs; reconcile bank activity to NetSuite general ledger daily
  • Process wholesale customer invoices as orders are shipped; monitor aging reports and follow up on past due accounts; issue and apply credit memos as needed in cooperation with Wholesale sales team
  • Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding payments and account balances in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist Accountants with month-end journal entries, accruals and amortization calculations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (understanding of concepts such as prepaid expenses, accruals, inventory valuation and cost of goods sold)
  • Relevant experience in A/R, A/P clerk or bookkeeping roles a plus
  • Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables a must; Power Query/Pivot a plus)
  • Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail (ability to independently perform two- or even three-way match between large datasets, identify breaks and investigate causes)
  • Ability to self-direct in a high energy environment
  • A positive attitude and strong communication and interpersonal skills
