Topicals is seeking a passionate and results driven Director of Field Sales and Education to join our growing Sales Team. This role will be very hands on, developing sales education materials, traveling to store locations and managing Account Executives, all in an effort to drive brand conversion. The ideal candidate has direct experience working with Sephora leadership and is based in California or New York with the ability to travel at least 30% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with VP, Global Sales on strategies and manage day to day Field and Education business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute sales and conversion strategies via Core always-on activations and key Newness launches.
  • Oversee the roll out of Field team / Account Executives to optimize in store sales and support across key districts/regions.
  • Lead and manage team of Account Executives in field and Education Managers at corporate/headquarters level.
  • Develop and execute field strategies and store sales targets to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales plans.
  • Create and manage Field and Education budget inclusive of T&E, gratis, events, collateral needs and misc additional needs.
  • Analyze and report out sales trends, events/animations impact and overall weekly, monthly and quarterly performance.
  • Implement strategies to drive increased in store productivity, positive comp sales, brand rank and market share.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, sales targets, scheduling direction and regional strategies to Field and Education team.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to secure and execute impactful in-store events with incremental sales lifts and ROI.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external team members to drive brand awareness and education with a laser focus on comping year over year store sales.

Skills and Requirements

  • 10+ years of field sales experience in beauty
  • 3+ years of national and regional field leadership experience
  • 5+ years of direct experience working with Sephora store leadership and Sephora corporate/headquarters team members.
  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time
  • Experience leading Account Executives in field and Managers at corporate/headquarters level
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Proven record of driving Brick & Mortar sales and incremental lifts in stores
  • Experience creating and executing training and education materials across internal and external team members and platforms
