Our Warehouse Operations team is the heartbeat of our fulfillment process, expertly managing everything from inbound shipments to outbound deliveries, including returns, picking, packing, and shipping. What You'll Do

    The Black Tux is looking for a Warehouse Lead to help with outbound functions in our Pittston, PA warehouse. The lead is responsible for monitoring all productivity and quality of all outgoing inventory. This position will also ensure that orders are leaving with the customer in mind to uphold our high quality standards and this position will report to the Area Manager. An ideal candidate will provide a positive example of performance, safety, and reliability to the rest of the team.

    • Lead and supervise a team of 3 to 40 warehouse associates, with expanded responsibility during peak seasons, ensuring consistent performance, engagement, and morale throughout shifts.

    • Review, interpret, and execute management-issued floor plans to ensure daily production goals are met and resources are used effectively.

    • Monitor and communicate hourly TPH performance data to associates, making real-time adjustments to assignments to keep the operation on track.

    • Conduct daily start-of-shift team meetings as needed, covering performance metrics, daily production goals, safety topics, quality standards, and operational priorities.

    • Deliver real-time coaching on safety behaviors, quality standards, conduct, and performance expectations in alignment with TBT policies and core values.

    • Actively mentor and develop your Ambassador, providing real-time feedback and guidance to prepare them for the next level of leadership in accordance with TBT leadership guidelines.

    • Partner with cross-functional departments to proactively balance incoming workload and backlogs, ensuring smooth flow across the operation.

    • Operate and learn industry-specific warehouse technology, systems, and tools as required to support daily operations.

    • Proactively identify and immediately escalate unsafe practices, conditions, or behaviors to management.

    • Monitor product and process quality in real time; notify management promptly of any recurring quality defects and collaborate on immediate corrective action plans.

    • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with precision; communicate proactively with the manager when challenges arise that may affect the ability to execute as documented.

    • Serve as a key communication link between associates and management, escalating concerns, ideas, and observations in a timely and professional manner.

    • Perform additional duties as assigned by management in support of operational needs.

    • Dry Cleaning and/or tailoring knowledge a plus but not required.

Required

    • Previous warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment experience

    • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and hold others accountable

    • Strong English communication skills — both verbal and written. Spanish a plus.

    • Ability to read and execute operational floor plans

    • Comfort with performance data and productivity metrics (TPH)

    • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs throughout the shift

Who You Are

    • 1+ year in a lead or supervisor role

    • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

    • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS)

    • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or continuous improvement concepts

    • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices

Position Requirements

    • May be required to work mandatory overtime as needed by the business to meet demands during peak and off-peak seasons

    • Shifts are scheduled by the needs of the business and may be 8 or more hours, and include weekends as needed

    • Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds in a physical environment

    • Ability to stand, reach, or bend for extended periods of time throughout a shift, excluding breaks

    • Ability to walk for extended periods of time throughout a shift, excluding breaks

    • Ascends/descends ladders to organize inventory for periods of time

    • Ability to comply with all safety protocols, sharps handling, PPE requirements, and company policies.

    • Ability to use and tolerate potential exposure to biohazards, hazardous chemicals, fumes, vapors, and other toxic materials in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety regulations.

    • Sustained, repetitive arm/hand/finger movements for the handling, processing, preparation, repair of inventory and fulfillment of customer orders

    • This position operates in a high-activity warehouse that is not climate-controlled. You will be exposed to variable temperatures, including heat above 80°F and cold below 50°F, depending on the season and specific work zone (e.g., loading docks, dry cleaning, etc.). We prioritize safety and provide all necessary protective gear and regular hydration breaks in accordance with OSHA safety guidelines.
