The Black Tux is looking for an engaging Assistant Showroom Manager to help us build our presence in the Santa Monica area. The candidate will work with the Showroom team to embody TBT’s Brand Pillars for Customer Experience, by providing exceptional fitting appointments for formalwear and wedding bands, as well as assisting customers through various stages of their event life cycle. From look conception to fruition; aiding in styling, event setup and checkout.
What You'll Do
- Acts as primary point of management and leadership for the team when the showroom leader is not present
- Prioritizes customer experience while keeping the team focused on organizational, operational and visual standards to support revenue
- Takes pride in TBT and leading by example in showing up for the team and customers
- Able to give and receive feedback across all levels in Showrooms
- Lead by example and use in-the-moment feedback to discuss opportunity to improve or to praise success
- Supports team development by participating in monthly coaching along with the showroom leader
- Actively listens and suggests choices that align with the customer's style with the understanding of how suggestions contribute to KPI's
- Develop expert level understanding of measuring and fitting menswear and understand how to train measuring using TBT's philosophy
- Develop an understanding of customer experience trends in the wedding industry and identify opportunities for optimization
- Able to effectively diffuse and resolve escalated customer issues
- Support the planning and execution of team meetings and outings to partner in the development and motivation of the team
- Understands and can communicate showroom revenue and KPI's to the team
- Supports manager in building community involvement by sourcing and outreaching to local, relevant partnerships
Who You Are
- You have 2-4 years of experience in a retail or customer service based industry
- You have proficiency in Apple products, MS Office Suite, and Google Platforms
- You are an innovative, positive, proactive team player
- Ability to walk briskly and be on your feet for many hours a day
- You are effective in written and verbal communication
- You put an emphasis on exceptional customer service
- You place high value on being a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
- You build great relationships with customers, peers, and employees through stellar communication and follow-through
- You love being organized and have an eye for the details
- You'd describe yourself as passionate about fashion, high energy, and eager to learn
- You are tech-savvy If you have a BA/BS degree, that's a plus
- You have experience working in menswear and/or a startup, preferably
