Job description
Role overview
As a Senior Product Manager at Texture, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the energy sector and driving the rollout of distributed, renewable energy by leading a cross-functional team in building user-centric products. We are seeking a creative and experienced leader who can both provide strategic product vision in key areas of our roadmap as well as confidently lead a team of world-class engineers and designers through the details of product development.
Responsibilities
Product strategy: Our roadmap is wholly comprised of important, unsolved, and fascinating problems slowing the rollout of renewable energy. In cooperation with the Chief Product Officer, you’ll own and execute key areas of our roadmap, taking them from ideation to development, launch, and optimization.
Market analysis: The energy landscape is in a constant state of dynamic flux. You’ll conduct in-depth analyses of new technologies, customer segments, macroeconomic trends, and the competitive landscape to inform roadmap development and prioritization.
Cross-functional collaboration: We believe success requires orchestrating multiple disciplines to build the best products, and product managers are our conductors. You’ll partner daily with engineering, design, marketing, and sales to ensure we launch the most innovative and delightful technology possible while fostering a culture of camaraderie and seamless communication.
Customer-centric approach: Texture is the software layer powering the energy transition, but our customers are the ones making it physically happen; their user experience is our number one priority. You’ll champion a customer-centric mindset by gathering and analyzing customer feedback, conducting user research, and incorporating insights into the product development process.
User-centric design: We believe that when we focus on our users, impact will follow. You’ll work closely with design and across company teams to produce the best possible user experience, setting a new benchmark for the industry.
Product lifecycle management: We believe our success is inextricably tied to the speed and quality of our execution. You’ll manage a lightweight and effective development process, including roadmap development, design, sprint planning, engineering, testing, and rollout.
Metrics and analytics: The scale of the problem we are solving requires vigorous and unrelenting command of lead and lag metrics. You’ll define and track KPIs to measure the success and impact of our products.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing products in a design and technology-driven environment.
User-centric product development: Demonstrated experience working with product, design, and engineering to build new user experiences is an absolute must. Experience building interfaces for enterprise software is highly desirable.
Strategic thinker: Ability to think strategically and develop a vision for the product. Demonstrate a deep understanding of business objectives and how the product contributes to overall success.
Insatiable curiosity: Demonstrated capacity to quickly and fervently absorb new and complex topics.
Leadership skills: Proven leadership and team management skills. Ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams toward common goals.
Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to make data-driven decisions and leverage metrics to inform product strategies.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers.
Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and navigate ambiguity.
