We are looking for a Network Operations Intern to join our Network & Clinical Quality team this summer! The Intern will be responsible for data entry of provider credentialing data into the main database. The role will maintain a close relationship with both the Onboarding, Training and Credentialing teams to collaborate on all admin work surrounding network operations projects. The role will also support the day-to-day onboarding and credentialing operations of both 1099 and W2 workflows. This involves collaborating with the Credentialing Manager and Credentialing Specialists to ensure a streamlined workflow with credentialing functions and learning and executing all credentialing requirements
*This is a remote position based on Eastern Time. Talkspace Headquarters is located in NYC*

Internship Details:
- Duration: June 2nd, 2025 - August 22nd, 2025
- Commitment: 20 hours per week
- Projects: You'll work on 2-3 key initiatives, with one serving as your final deliverable.
- Compensation: Our compensation policy ensures a minimum of $15/hour or the legally required local minimum wage, whichever is greater, to maintain fairness across regions.
- Mentorship: You'll be paired with a Talkspace mentor to guide you throughout the program.
What You’ll Do
- Payer and Credentialing Enrollment
- Submission of group enrollment applications via payer enrollment
portals. - Management of the CAQH group profile to ensure an accurate
roster of providers is represented for payer enrollment applications
while also confirming each provider is linked to the correct location
and payer in the CAQH system. - Complete provider enrollment profile in CAQH by accessing data in
credentialing systems and inputting the data into the CAQH system. - Collaborate with the Payer Team to ensure new and existing payer
relationships are maintained. - Ensure efficient certification applications are submitted and
processed for each provider in the Humana network. - Collaborate with the Credentialing Manager and Credentialing
Specialist to ensure a roster update is submitted timely to the
Humana Network. - Work closely with the payer point of contact to manage the
enrollment process from start to finish.

- Credentialing
- Perform all daily credentialing functions as needed, such as
checking provider CAQH status - Coordinate with Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO) to
ensure timely completion of the credentialing review - Weekly follow-up review of provider status and communicating
status updates to CVO or incomplete status to provider - Correspond with providers for missing data elements such as NPI
numbers and/or CAQH profile information - Correspond with providers to advise on their status via Zendesk
- Document all credentialing correspondence with provider and/or
CVO in the Fountain system - Responsible for notification of incomplete credentialing status to
the provider - Ensuring accurate storage record of provider file
- Perform all daily credentialing functions as needed, such as
- Onboarding
- Perform daily onboarding and offboarding tasks as assigned
- Correspond with providers via Zendesk to ensure provider
questions/concerns are resolved - Manage and edit provider headshots, ensuring professional and
up-to-date images are maintained. - Conduct regular audits of provider network data, ensuring accuracy
and timeliness of all information. - Document audit findings, maintain accurate records, and generate
comprehensive reports summarizing audit results, trends, and
recommendations for process improvement. - Perform Additional projects as assigned
- New Initiatives
- Correspond with providers via Zendesk to ensure providers are moving through the special enrollment process (e.g. Medicare, TRICARE EAST)
- Provider Training
- Training admin tasks as needed
- Team Collaboration
- Be an active participant and problem solver in recurrent meetings
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
