About Us

Founded in April 2024, Symbiotic is a high-growth Cyber & AI startup ($10M Seed) based between Paris and New York. Our mission? Helping developers write secure code by automatically detecting and remediating security flaws introduced by Generative AI tools (like GitHub Copilot). We are already a team of 32 passionate builders, featuring a top-tier engineering squad (ex-GitGuardian, ENS, and an SRE with 10+ years of XP).

The Role: A Clear, Protected Scope

This is NOT an over-scoped “do everything” position. You will be the dedicated owner of the production lifecycle, reliability, and optimization of our core AI products (our in-house security coding agent). Sitting right between the Infra and AI teams, you will report to Édouard (CTO) and partner closely with Paul (our SRE, who keeps full ownership of the core infrastructure foundation).

❌ Out of Scope: CI/CD, DevTooling, and cybersecurity compliance are handled by other dedicated teams. Your focus remains 100% on production, scalability, and the AI platform runtime.

Key Responsibilities

• 60% AI Platform (Build & Run): Design intelligent multi-provider fallback modes to ensure 100% uptime, drive token cost reduction, optimize latency, own LLM orchestration (gateways, routing, runtime reliability), and build production-grade observability (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana).
• 25% Infrastructure Integration: Coordinate with the SRE team to align AI workloads with our core EKS setup, review infra Pull Requests, and confidently use Kubernetes and Terraform to operate application-level infrastructure.
• 15% General Run & Team Support: Act as a reliable problem-solver for engineering bottlenecks and keep internal developer tools highly performant.

Our Tech Stack

• AI / LLM: AWS Bedrock, LiteLLM, LLM proxy/gateway
• Infrastructure / Cloud: AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, GitOps workflows
• Observability: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana
• Application Layer: Django web app, In-house security coding agent

What We Are Looking For

• Strong Software Background: You have built and shipped applications (ideally in Python) before moving into DevOps/MLOps.
• AI/MLOps Mindset: Practical experience dealing with LLM orchestration tools, API latency, token management, and model telemetry in production.
• Infrastructure Literacy: Solid understanding of Kubernetes and Terraform to debug and configure environments autonomously (without needing to build them from scratch).
• Languages: French and English (B2 level minimum).
