Project Manager (Tech + Film/TV Production)

Company: Staircase Studios AILocation: Remote (U.S. or Canada preferred; flexible by time zone)

Hybrid Project Manager operating across tech/product delivery and film/TV production—planning work, aligning teams, and moving creative and technical deliverables smoothly from start to finish.

About Staircase Studios AI

Staircase Studios AI develops story-first film/TV and emerging-format projects while building production workflows that leverage generative AI. We work quickly, iterate often, and coordinate across creative + technical teams.

The Role

We’re hiring a hybrid Project Manager who can confidently operate in both tech/product delivery and film/TV production realities. You’ll help plan work, keep teams aligned, manage timelines, and make sure creative and technical deliverables move smoothly from start to finish.

What You’ll Do

  • Own project plans, schedules, and milestones across product and production workstreams
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, design, creative, production, post)
  • Run recurring check-ins, track action items, and unblock dependencies
  • Create clear documentation: briefs, timelines, delivery checklists, and status reports
  • Manage scope changes and keep priorities realistic and transparent
  • Maintain communication cadence and stakeholder alignment (internal + external when needed)
  • Help improve operating rhythms (templates, process, tooling, handoffs, retros)

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years in project management, production management, or equivalent role
  • Strong understanding of modern tech delivery
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail—without being rigid
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Proven ability to drive projects forward in a fast-moving, creative environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience in film/TV production, post workflows, or agency-style production
  • Familiarity with generative AI production pipelines (prompting, iteration, versioning, approvals)
  • Experience working with creators, editors, artists, and producers
