Internships at Cvent

Cvent’s paid internship gives students hands-on experience and direct mentorship that supports their professional development and career growth after college graduation. Interns are exposed to the inner workings of an industry-leading software company while taking ownership of projects that contribute to the company’s continued success. Interns may receive an offer for full-time employment after graduation.

• Gain hands-on experience with financial business processes by collaborating closely with the IT Financial Systems team.
• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of Financial System application by leveraging SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• Work closely with senior developers and database administrators to understand project requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve day to day Production issues using SQL and PL/SQL knowledge.
• Document processes and create design documents that explain technical changes.

• Full-time college student with plans to graduate in May 2027 (summer between Junior & Senior year).
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks and commute to our headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA.
• Currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Information Systems/MIS, Data Science, Financial Technology, or a related tech or fintech field
• Fundamental understanding of relational databases and proficiency in writing SQL queries and PL/SQL scripts.
• Familiarity with database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Eager to learn, adaptable, and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of business users and team members.
• Any past finance experiences or knowledge would be a plus
