About the Role

We are seeking a high-performing individual to serve as Chief of Staff, and lead Cvent’s AI Center of Excellence for our global Sales and Marketing teams. This unique dual-role will work closely with our Sales and Marketing leaders, including but not limited to, our President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing and our Chief Marketing Officer, to drive business priorities, accelerate AI-driven transformation, improve cross-functional alignment, and shape Cvent’s strategic direction—especially as it relates to leveraging AI to empower our Sales and Marketing organizations.

This is a highly visible and impactful position requiring exceptional data and analytical acumen, strategic problem-solving capabilities, deep understanding of AI applications in go-to-market functions, and outstanding interpersonal intelligence. You’ll operate as a trusted partner and force multiplier—bringing clarity to complexity, coordinating high-stakes initiatives, and enabling efficient decision-making at the highest level, while also architecting and executing Cvent’s AI strategy for Sales and Marketing.

In This Role, You Will:

Strategic Execution, AI Leadership & Decision Support

  • Drive strategic planning and cross-company initiatives that support our growth model
  • Serve as a high-impact thought partner to the Sales and Marketing leaders, translating vision into operational plans and tangible outcomes.
  • Lead the AI Center of Excellence for Sales and Marketing, developing and executing a comprehensive AI strategy to drive revenue growth, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
  • Run the operating model for AI; Identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI use cases for Sales and Marketing, including lead scoring, customer segmentation, campaign optimization, sales forecasting, and personalized outreach.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and PMO leaders to design, pilot, and scale AI-powered solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
  • Leverage data, market intelligence, and AI-driven insights to inform executive decisions; prepare reports, dashboards, and decision-making frameworks.
  • Manage key strategic and AI-driven initiatives from ideation through execution—ensuring alignment, momentum, and accountability.


Organizational Effectiveness

  • Optimize internal operating rhythms: manage the corporate calendar of strategic planning cycles, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and executive meetings.
  • Improve interdepartmental communication and eliminate organizational silos by acting as a conduit between senior leadership and broader teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement in internal processes that enable speed, clarity, and collaboration across the enterprise, with a focus on AI-enabled workflows for Sales and Marketing.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment of key strategic and AI initiatives across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and G&A functions.
  • Own delivery of special projects and strategic initiatives (e.g., M&A integration, organizational redesign, GTM transformation).
  • Serve as a liaison with Blackstone and manage requests and inquiries while working with the Senior Management team where appropriate.
  • Enhance operational efficiency through integration of people, process, technology, and AI-driven strategies—promoting efficiency, improving decision-making speed, and empowering teams to focus on higher-value work.

Leadership Enablement

  • Anticipate leaders’ needs and proactively provide information, perspective, and structure that enhances leadership effectiveness.
  • Represent the President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing and the CMO in internal and external meetings as needed; synthesize key takeaways and ensure follow-through on action items.
  • Maintain oversight of key programs, special projects, and strategic partnerships on behalf of the Worldwide Sales and Marketing and the CMO, and other senior leaders.
  • Champion AI literacy and change management across Sales and Marketing, ensuring teams are equipped to adopt and maximize new technologies.

People, Culture & Influence

  • Monitor organizational health and team morale; be a trusted confidant on culture, employee experience, and team dynamics.
  • Develop deep working relationships across all levels and functions to gather insights and build consensus on complex issues.
  • Lead initiatives that foster executive team alignment, leadership development, and culture-building.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning around AI and data-driven decision-making.


Here's What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in strategy, consulting, business operations, or high-growth environments; direct experience supporting a CRO and/or CMO highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience leading AI, data science, or advanced analytics initiatives, preferably within Sales and/or Marketing functions.
  • Demonstrated fluency with data analytics, AI/ML concepts, KPI development, business acumen, and financial modeling to support executive decisions.
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity, adapt quickly, and lead cross-functional projects with minimal oversight.
  • Outstanding communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills; able to command executive presence and manage sensitive topics with discretion.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills—exceptional attention to detail without losing the big picture.
  • A natural systems thinker and creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience with AI change management, enablement, and upskilling programs for go-to-market teams is a strong plus.
