In This Role, You Will:
- Accessibility Audits & Remediation: Conduct accessibility audits, monitor & verify fixes for VPAT-related defects, & update VPATs accordingly
- Research & Continuous Learning: Stay current on WCAG standards, accessibility best practices, and assistive technologies. Actively engage in professional development to expand knowledge
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Continuously track accessibility performance, maintain detailed assessment records, and assist in preparing reports on findings & progress
Here's What You Need:
- Candidate should have an awareness of how users with disabilities use assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers) and be familiar with accessibility testing tools like WAVE and Axe
- A basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is also helpful
- Strong written communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills are essential
- Candidate must be self-motivated, have strategic thinking abilities, and be able to work independently with a remote team
