Cvent has an opportunity for a Learning & Development Specialist for our Corporate Training team who will help design, plan, implement, and evaluate high quality training on Cvent products and services for new hires and existing employees.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and experienced Learning & Development team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping others develop, excited about technology, and eager to partner with internal stakeholders in the development and delivery of training.

This position will report to the Corporate Training Team Lead in Client Services. This role will be based in the McLean, VA office.


In This Role, You Will:

  • Deliver training (including live, instructor-led, eLearning, and hybrid training modalities) to new hires and existing employees on Cvent software products, internal processes and procedures, and soft skills
  • Utilize instructional design skills to create and maintain engaging and effective training materials that achieve desired learning objectives
  • Conduct front-end analysis to identify instructional goals; performance gaps, and needs assessment
  • Leverage approved AI tools to enhance the efficiency, creativity, and impact of learning and development programs, including tasks such as content creation, data analysis, and productivity support, while ensuring responsible and ethical use in alignment with team guidelines.
  • Partner with L&D leaders and line of business leaders to assess training needs and design training approach
  • Translate needs analysis and functional specifications into an audience-appropriate, clear, and concise course design
  • Contribute to the effective development, coordination, and presentation of product training for all employees including role specific training and new hire onboarding
  • Contribute to the Learning Management System (LMS) with videos, courses, and other training tools, and participate in management of team content in the LMS.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide feedback to management and leadership

Travel up to 15% to facilitate and support L&D programs across the organization, including support for Client Training, as needed.


Here's What You Need:

  • 2+ years of solid experience leading training programs (including live in-person, virtual, hybrid, and eLearning) or 2 years of experience with Cvent’s products
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Instructional Design, Information Technology, or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience in designing and developing instructor-led and eLearning training programs preferred
  • Ability to quickly learn and implement new and complex ideas, relay those concepts to others, and apply appropriately
  • Strong organizational, planning, project management, and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to act independently as well as collaborate with colleagues to achieve needed results
  • Ability to remain agile in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Ability to travel up to 15% (Domestic) is preferred.
  • BA or BS is highly desired
