About the Role:
Cvent Technology is advancing rapidly, and SaaS cloud-hosted solution providers like us persist in keeping
up with the latest security trends and security threats in web, mobile, and API application development.
Cvent’s Application Security team has been closely partnering with the product and engineering team to
mature the Software Development Lifecycle via automated and manual security capabilities and help the
product teams deliver secure and world-class products to the customers. You will get wide exposure to
engaging security automation and development projects and assist application security engineers in
various security assessments. Expert security engineers will mentor you to advance your career in the
space of Information Security.


In This Role, You Will:

• Assist in developing a small to medium complex security project, process, or initiatives such as
automation, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, vulnerability management, etc.
• Develop custom solutions to automate processes as part of the Cvent Application Security Research
and Engineering program.
• Create and update the knowledge base and documentation related to the product security processes
and projects.
• Identify additional areas of opportunity and means for knowledge-sharing practices across teams


Here's What You Need:

Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related degree.
• Good knowledge of at least one scripting language such as bash, Python, Perl, etc.
• Good understanding of web development concepts, HTML, JS, CSS, ReactJS etc.
• Experience developing academic or personal projects in any programming language, such as Java, C#,
Node.js, etc., is encouraged.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 security findings.
• Fundamental understanding of any security tool such as BurpSuite, OWASP Zap, Nmap, etc.
• Participated in bug bounty or capture the flag programs
