Cvent, Inc. is seeking a bright, goal-oriented, high energy and hardworking individual to fill our open position for our Tysons Corner, VA office. The selected candidate will work on both domestic and international tax accounting, tax reporting, tax compliance and tax research. This is a fast-paced environment with an opportunity to grow your professional accounting and tax skills. This position reports to our Senior Director, Global Tax.


In This Role, You Will:

  • Manage incumbent service providers and coordinate filings of pre-acquisition period tax returns
  • Assist in diligence prior to and integration post M&A
  • Support the tax aspects of US GAAP purchase accounting process for acquisitions
  • Support the tax risk assessment process and management of tax risks associated with the acquired company’s changing tax structure
  • Manage the preparation of federal/state tax returns by collecting, analyzing and formatting financial information for service providers
  • Manage updates to Cvent’s global tax calendar and the preparation and filing of local income tax, property tax, and information returns related to the acquired company(s)
  • Manage and support the integration of tax operations for the acquired company(s).
  • Support coordination with global accounting and tax team members
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits and act as principal point of contact for notifications from tax agencies related to the acquired company(s)
  • Research the implications of changing tax laws and advise on tax related issues related to the acquired company(s)
  • Support the execution of various ad hoc tax projects related to the acquired company(s)
  • Support or perform research and prepare/review technical tax memorandums related to the acquired company(s)

Here's What You Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree – Accounting, CPA or MS-Tax preferred
  • 6-8+ years Big 4 and corporate tax experience
  • Requires experience with tax planning related to M&A
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft including Outlook, Word, and Excel (Index/Match, Sumifs, V and H Lookups, and Power Queries). Experience with OneSource preferred
  • Detail oriented & ability to multi-task.
