Cvent India is seeking a senior leader to oversee the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of its Cloud Operations organization in India and ensure that Cvent continues to meet or exceed its goals for the availability, performance, and security goals for the cloud-based infrastructure supporting its SaaS platforms. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams as well as work with Cvent executive leadership to ensure that the work of the Cloud Operations team remains aligned with departmental and corporate goals and priorities.
In This Role, You Will:
- Lead the Cloud Operations organization in India, including the Cloud Infrastructure and Database Engineering teams, to deliver world-class SaaS hosting, data, and infrastructure services for Cvent’s customer-facing platforms.
- Develop a clear strategic vision for the Cloud Operations organization, including short-term and long-term goals.
- Encourage your team to experiment with new technologies and methodologies, particularly in integrating AI into Cloud Operations.
- Build & manage strong relationships with other departments, such as Product Development, IT, SRE & Other Engineering teams.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and cloud service providers.
- Mentor and develop engineering managers and senior technical resources.
- Coordinate with executive leadership to ensure adequate resourcing and support for the Cloud Operations organization.
- Provide executive leadership and support during major customer-impacting incidents.

This role requires a seasoned, skilled, and self-motivated leader who is experienced in running 24×7 mission-critical, revenue-generating systems in a public cloud environment and has a proven track record of building, leading, and motivating teams. The ideal candidate must also possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact with staff and management at all levels of the organization, and a mindset to continually innovate and improve team performance and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 16 years + in IT operations with at least 7 years in leadership roles in a cloud or SaaS product-based organization.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.
- Significant practical experience managing or supporting large-scale, public cloud environments.
- Experience in any Cloud Platforms - AWS (Preferable), GCP, Azure, OCI is a must.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in cloud environments.
- Significant practical experience implementing Incident and change management processes in an agile environment.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools and frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership and technical teams.
- Experience negotiating and managing software and services contracts.
