The Buyer/Planner supports purchasing and supply planning operations across the business. This role manages purchase order execution from placement to receipt, maintains master data in NetSuite, monitors inventory levels, and mitigates supply chain risks. You will act as a key operational liaison between suppliers and cross-functional teams including Operations, Manufacturing, and Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• NetSuite Management: Create, issue, and update Purchase Orders (POs) in NetSuite. Maintain master purchasing data (lead times, pricing, MOQs, order multiples, and statuses).

• Order Tracking & Follow-Up: Track open POs, verify vendor confirmations, update delivery schedules, and resolve discrepancies regarding late orders, shortages, or invoice pricing.

• Risk & Inventory Visibility: Maintain an open PO tracker, proactively communicate changes in supplier availability or lead times, and escalate potential material shortages impacting production.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Manufacturing to align purchasing with demand forecasts and inventory requirements.

• Vendor & Process Analysis: Track vendor performance (e.g., On-Time In-Full delivery), conduct inventory analysis, and recommend process improvements to enhance purchasing efficiency.

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in buying, purchasing, or supply chain planning. Consumer packaged goods (CPG) or manufacturing background preferred.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related analytical field preferred.

• Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills required; prior hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP highly preferred.

• Core Competencies: Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities to independently manage complex open orders.
