Overview

As the Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will own the end-to-end CRM and lifecycle marketing strategy to drive engagement, retention, and revenue. This role requires someone who can seamlessly transition between high-level strategic thinking and hands-on execution, including campaign design, content development, automation setup, and performance analysis.

You will build, optimize, and scale automated workflows, ensuring customers receive the right message at the right time. If you’re data-driven, thrive in creating exceptional customer experiences, and are excited to take full ownership of lifecycle marketing, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and own the customer lifecycle strategy to drive activation, engagement, retention, and growth, with a focus on DTC subscription models.
  • Define key customer journeys, segmentation strategies, and lifecycle programs to maximize customer value, including referral and loyalty initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for growth through personalized messaging, automation, and testing.

Execution

  • Write and execute email, SMS, and in-app campaigns, including crafting compelling messaging and positioning tailored to user segments.
  • Build automated workflows and campaigns across the lifecycle funnel (e.g., onboarding, nurturing, win-back), particularly for subscription services.
  • Develop and implement referral campaigns to drive customer acquisition and engagement.
  • Manage campaign setup, QA, and deployment in CRM platforms.

Optimization & Reporting

  • Continuously monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance and customer engagement metrics.
  • Run A/B tests on subject lines, content, workflows, and timing to optimize for open rates, CTR, and conversion.
  • Use data and insights to inform next steps and refine lifecycle strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Product/Engineering, Design, Data, and Growth teams to align lifecycle campaigns with overall business objectives.
  • Work with customer insights to inform and iterate on messaging and positioning.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, or retention marketing, preferably in a DTC subscription-based eCommerce environment.
  • Proven experience designing and executing automated workflows (onboarding, engagement, retention, win-back) and referral campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing platforms (e.g., Blueshift, Klaviyo, Iterable, Braze, or similar tools).
  • Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to craft clear, compelling, and customer-centric messaging.
  • A data-driven mindset with experience in A/B testing, campaign analysis, and deriving actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently, own projects, and execute end-to-end with high attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with product, growth, and data teams.
