We're looking for an Internal Communications Lead to grow with us and drive internal communications across SeatGeek, helping to unite our global team around our goals and vision. In this role, you will report into the PR & Communications team and work closely with the Executive and People teams to develop strategies and content that drive employee understanding and engagement, ultimately providing the clarity and context needed for employees to excel at their jobs. You will manage our communication channels and processes, and play a supportive role in high-sensitivity or crisis moments. You’ll report to our Head of PR & Communications.

Our ideal candidate will be a skilled writer and storyteller that has strong content strategy and stakeholder management skills. This role is located in New York and requires a presence in the office three days a week.

What you'll do

  • Drive company-wide internal communications strategies, working cross-functionally to ensure employees are informed, engaged, and feel connected to our culture and vision
  • Develop an enterprise-wide communications calendar to help provide visibility and a strategic lens to when and how we communicate
  • Partner with departmental Chiefs of Staff to own and produce our bi-monthly full company all-hands meeting including agendas, content, speakers, and prep calls
  • Lead internal communications for our quarterly goals reporting, ensuring employees understand how our results map back to SeatGeek’s mission
  • Manage and scale our internal communication platforms and policies to make it easy for employees to stay informed and collaborate
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership to help them communicate with clarity, thoughtfulness and impact
  • Co-create feedback loops to get an accurate picture of how employees are receiving information and how well that information is being absorbed
  • Collaborate with the People team to plan and execute company-wide events and initiatives
  • Work with our Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in to support communications related to DEI initiatives, ensuring that messaging fosters understanding and engagement across the organization. Additionally, provide communications support for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
  • Collaborate with the communications team on external communications campaigns as needed, providing support and insights from an internal perspective

What you have

  • 6+ years of work experience; at least three in communications with a focus on internal communications or executive communications
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills as well as an ability to craft clear and compelling content from complex ideas
  • Experience leading and guiding through change and company transformation, with a focus on balancing scale and protecting culture
  • Proven experience building relationships cross-functionally and managing multiple stakeholders
  • A persuasive and empathetic communicator with excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with using a range of internal communications tools and platforms, such as Slack, G-Suite, Confluence, etc
  • Self-starter that can operate through ambiguity to get things done
  • An eye for design with exceptional attention to detail; graphic design chops a bonus
  • High EQ with the ability to relate to and build trust with our diverse team

The salary range for this role is $94,000 - $172,000. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
