The Company:
Marigold is a fast-growing marketing technology company helping growing businesses build stronger customer relationships through its three core platforms: Emma, Campaign Monitor, and Vuture. We deliver powerful tools for email, SMS, and marketing automation that elevate engagement and drive real results. Marigold is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee with offices in Sydney and London.

The Role:
The Director of Growth Operations, Campaign Monitor (Self-Service) is the operational backbone that ensures growth strategies across Marketing, Product, and Customer Success are executed effectively and consistently. This role does not define marketing or product strategy; instead, it translates strategy into execution by building the operating rhythms, analytics, processes, and accountability frameworks that drive results.

Sitting at the center of a highly matrixed organization, this role owns business performance visibility, orchestrates cross-functional initiatives, leads Growth Analytics, and oversees Customer Success operations through close partnership and shared accountability. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer (Self-Service), this role is critical to driving retention, revenue predictability, and operational excellence for Campaign Monitor’s self-serve business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Orchestrate cross-functional execution across PLG Marketing, Product, and Customer Success, ensuring growth strategies are translated into clear plans, owners, and measurable outcomes.

  • Own business-level performance visibility for Campaign Monitor self-service, including revenue, bookings, customer growth, retention, and expansion metrics.

  • Lead weekly business reviews, quarterly planning, and cross-functional operating cadences to track progress, surface risks, and drive timely decision-making.

  • Oversee Customer Success operations through close partnership and shared accountability, defining engagement models, retention processes, playbooks, and capacity planning.

  • Direct Growth Analytics and reporting, matching marketing data with product and customer data to uncover insights, trends, and actionable recommendations.

  • Partner closely with senior leadership on forecasting, revenue modeling, and performance analysis to support planning, investment decisions, and long-term growth.

About You:
You are a master orchestrator who thrives in complexity and lives at the intersection of data, process, and execution. You are deeply analytical, operationally rigorous, and known for turning ambiguity into clarity. You don’t just report on performance — you diagnose issues, recommend action, and ensure follow-through. You bring strong financial and business acumen and are trusted as the go-to partner for understanding how the business is truly performing.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in growth operations, business operations, revenue operations, or strategic operations roles within B2B SaaS or self-service businesses.

  • 4+ years of experience supporting self-serve or product-led growth (PLG) SaaS motions.

  • Proven track record orchestrating cross-functional programs in matrixed organizations and translating strategy into execution.

  • Strong analytical expertise, including forecasting revenue and bookings, cohort analysis, retention modeling, and executive-level reporting.

  • 2+ years of people leadership experience managing analysts, BI professionals, or operations team members, including contractors.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive accountability across Marketing, Product, and Customer Success.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in email marketing, MarTech, or SaaS marketing platforms.

  • SQL proficiency or advanced data analysis capabilities.

  • Background in subscription or recurring revenue business models.
