The Role:

Marigold is hiring a Commercial Account Manager to work on the Emma by Marigold and Campaign by Marigold product lines. The Commercial Account Manager is charged with renewing, retaining, and growing accounts within Emma and/or Campaign Monitor’s current customer base. In this role, you’ll manage the contract renewal process from start to finish, working with collaborators across the organization to ensure the on-time delivery of contract renewals. You will also be responsible for sourcing and closing mid-cycle revenue growth opportunities. The ideal candidate is hands-on and results oriented, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive 100% net revenue retention within a dedicated book of ~750 contracted customers.

  • Perform renewal discovery on customer accounts, lead conversations with customers to understand their email needs, and provide recommendations for which Marigold products align with their goals and budgets.

  • Proactively identify growth opportunities and risk scenarios across customer accounts and develop detailed, data-driven sales plans to outline paths for preventing churn and maximizing growth.

  • Create and present customized renewal proposals; Facilitate pricing and legal negotiation with the customer in partnership with our pricing and legal teams.

  • Collaborate with the customer success team to advance a value-based sales approach that ensures long-term customer satisfaction with any products or services procured.

  • Be a subject matter expert for Marigold’s family of products and understand all aspects of the product's intended usage, features, and ideal customer base.

  • Act as a customer advocate and partner closely with customer success, marketing, development and support to increase and reinforce feature adoption; provide an accurate and reliable feedback loop to product owners in an effort to help evolve the product roadmap for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of account management or sales experience (preferably in the technology / SaaS space).

  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.

  • Passionate about helping customers.

  • Proven track record of achievement against targets.

  • Experience in managing sales-oriented conversations with customers and prospects.

  • Comfortable facilitating legal negotiation in partnership with legal team.

  • Effective communication skills, listening and writing skills.

  • Previous experience with Salesforce.com or comparable CRM tool .

  • Capacity for critical thought and ability to problem solve.

  • Desire to work in a fast-moving, deadline-based environment.
