Marigold, a rapidly expanding technology company providing cutting-edge customer engagement solutions, is in search of a Senior Director for Strategic Services. This pivotal role entails leading and executing Marigold's strategic consulting endeavors. As a Senior Director, you will collaborate closely with our clients and internal teams to comprehend their unique business requirements and deliver tailored solutions utilizing Marigold's platform. Your primary objectives will encompass driving revenue growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring client retention.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Success:

  • Ensure clients maximize the value from their investment in the Marigold Platform, optimize license utilization, identify growth opportunities, and foster collaboration across Marigold teams to ensure successful adoption and renewals.

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with clients to strengthen partnerships and demonstrate our unwavering commitment to their success.

  • Collaborate with client success teams and other stakeholders to facilitate client growth and assist in achieving their objectives.

  • Advocate for the capabilities of the Marigold Platform to clients.

  • Develop a deep understanding of common business challenges faced by clients and effectively align Marigold Platform features with their needs to deliver business value.

Strategic Consulting:

  • Engage with executive-level contacts within clients and prospects to conduct strategic discovery sessions and workshops.

  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Customer Success Leaders to research, analyze, and devise strategies aligned with clients’ core business objectives.

  • Lead efforts to expand the consulting business and implement growth strategies.

  • Provide strategic counsel to clients in areas such as CRM, marketing, and loyalty.

  • Work closely with the sales team to identify and cultivate new opportunities and develop proposals.

  • Oversee consulting engagements from inception to delivery, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations.

  • Manage project budgets and timelines effectively.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of consultants.

Consultative Selling:

  • Demonstrate mastery in Strategic Consulting and establish yourself as the foremost expert on Marigold's products and services.

  • Develop customized solutions to assist clients in achieving their marketing technology goals.

  • Display proficiency in executive and technical selling scenarios, utilizing storytelling, client use cases, and demo skills to showcase Marigold's value proposition.

  • Provide support for high-value client accounts and key strategic initiatives within the Solutions Consulting organization.


  • Offer senior-level support for client accounts requiring additional expertise or guidance.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure client feedback is integrated into marketing and product strategies.

Market and Industry Expertise:

  • Elevate your expertise by staying abreast of key market trends and best practices, particularly within specialized industries.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to communicate market insights effectively.

  • Share client success stories to promote Marigold's solutions externally with clients and industry analysts.

  • Serve as a thought leader in digital marketing, focusing on broader marketing strategies, cross-channel marketing, customer loyalty, and database marketing.

Success Measures:

  • Drive revenue growth through consultative selling and strategic consulting.

  • Enhance customer satisfaction and retention by ensuring clients derive maximum value from the Marigold Platform.

  • Maintain a high level of market expertise and thought leadership.

  • Develop and implement successful strategies for clients aligned with their core business objectives.

  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external clients.


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic consulting or customer success, preferably in the technology sector.

  • Proficiency in CRM, Marketing, and Loyalty.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Willingness to travel as required.
