We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to invest in, build, and assist in the migration out of existing data centers into AWS. You will be a key member of our engineering team, working hands-on leading a small team of DBAs and Infrastructure engineers. You will bring not just technical expertise in legacy data centers and latest AWS environments, but also great interpersonal skills, teaching and mentoring other engineers.
What You’ll Do:
Join a team of engineers designing, building, and maintaining our product on the AWS platform, contributing to the technical direction and helping to provide mentorship/guidance to others on the team.
Build and maintain tooling to support the team, and external teams.
Set technical direction and prioritize the work of your team by gathering feedback from engineers, support, and collaborating with the teams to make their lives easier.
Work hands on with your team, designing architecture, performing code reviews, and of course writing the code and tools to support our internal teams.
Help foster a DevOps culture within the entire engineering team by teaching and advocating for DevOps practices.
You are an experienced engineer that understands the best way to success is by enabling your colleagues to do their best work. You bias towards action, but understand that clear, timely communication is a must at a company of our size. You have a strong background in AWS, with experience supporting platforms that can process terabytes of data. You’re an advocate of the DevOps mindset, and you’re keen to share what you learn with your peers.
