Altus Group has an exciting new opportunity for an Outbound Sales Executive to join their team based in Manchester. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Executive (known internally as Business Development Associate) will be supporting our USA business. They will be responsible for making outbound calls to prospective US clients in order to generate lead opportunities. In addition, the Sales Executive is responsible for validating and/or updating all databases with pertinent prospect information. Full training is provided.

As this position is supporting our USA business, the working hours will be Monday - Friday 12pm - 8pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Call new leads derived from lists, referrals and advertising

  • Follow up with leads who have been contacted in the past

  • Conduct initial qualification of leads based on brief phone discussion

  • Set appointments for Key Accounts Executives.

  • Use email to correspond with leads to follow up and/or to confirm appointments

  • Use Salesforce.com to capture information regarding leads as well facilitate lead flow to others in the area.

  • Provide feedback to others in the department related to information prospects share that could be helpful in landing new clients.

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in business development or sales is beneficial but not essential as full training is provided

  • Ability to network and build relationships while handing rejection

  • Adaptable, resilient and target driven

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to generate new business with potential clients

  • Aptitude to learn and develop new skills, open to asking for and receiving feedback.
