This position will work with executive and business development leadership to develop and execute go to market strategy around Altus’s state and local tax and advisory services. This will be a Hybrid role.
The Business Development Manager is also a market facing role, attending conferences and networking events to promote our company and services, and developing and cultivating relationships that can generate new business.
Develop new business, for our state and local tax services, with companies with whom we have no recent engagements
Attend network events, conferences, trade shows, etc., to promote Altus services and make connections with prospective clients
Develop new business for the company through cross selling and upselling additional services to our existing client base
4 year university or college degree
At least 5 years prior working experience in business development and sales, both cold and warm calling, is required
Experience and/or knowledge of state & local taxes is preferred
Intermediate knowledge and use of Salesforce or a similar CRM system and Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint
Ability to work independently and make decisions on own, as well as being able to work with a team
Ability to network and make new connections
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to contribute both independently and as a team member
