Position Summary

As a Social Impact Manager at Prose, you are responsible for leading initiatives that enhance our company's commitment to corporate social responsibility, including community engagement, diversity and inclusion, and environmental sustainability efforts. You will collaborate across teams (marketing, people team, research and development, and operations) to integrate social impact strategies that align with Prose’s brand values and business objectives.

This is a hybrid role based in our Williamsburg, Brooklyn headquarters. Candidates based in the New York City area can expect a base salary that ranges from $85,000 to $95,000. The base salary offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the VP in development and implementation of Prose’s social impact strategies and initiatives in alignment with corporate goals.
  • Manage relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote collaborative projects and community benefits.
  • Oversee corporate volunteer programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement in social impact activities.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of social impact programs, using data to drive decisions and improve initiatives\ around diversity and inclusion strategy, and community partnerships, and grant making efforts,
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders highlighting Prose’s social impact efforts and achievements.
  • Stay informed of relevant trends and regulatory changes that affect corporate social responsibility and DEI commitments and guide on compliance with current regulations and opportunities for leadership.
  • Represent Prose at conferences, B Corp Leaders Meetings, workshops, and public events related to social responsibility and sustainability.
  • Understanding of Audit Process for B Corp Certification and B Impact Assessment Require with Yearly Reporting Updates

Key Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in corporate social responsibility, community engagement, or a similar role.
  • Proficient in using IT systems and software such as Slack, Carbon Accounting Software, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite: Docs, Slides,
  • Strong communication, presentation, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with experience in reporting and analytics related to social impact metrics in both diversity and inclusion as well as carbon.
  • Demonstrated passion for social impact and corporate responsibility.
  • Professional demeanor with a proactive and empathetic approach to stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Innovative thinker with a strategic and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent relationship management skills across diverse groups.
  • Awareness of global social issues and cultural sensitivity.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proven track record of successful project management and execution in the field of social responsibility.
  • Ability to articulate complex social issues clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong ethical compass and the ability to handle sensitive issues with integrity and discretion.
  • Background in Beauty and Cosmetics is preferred.
