How you will contribute:
We are looking for a Technical Sales Leader to join our growing company. In this role you will lead key customer engagement opportunities and projects as well as develop and deploy required tools for customer engagement and CRM. Key deliverables are (1) Lead customer engagement for identified customers and develop the opportunity pipeline (2) develop and deploy tools and collateral for customer engagement and management including keeping the opportunity pipeline and agreed upon dashboards current. You will have the opportunity to make an immediate and sustainable impact in the development of the company, while having the opportunity to grow along with Plantible’s expansion.
What you will be working on:
- Lead identified customer opportunities and collaborative projects with R&D and Business Development to refine and enhance product offerings based on market needs.
- Engage in hands-on formulation, prototype and commercial development; from lab formulation to scale-up to commercial manufacturing processes.
- Initiate and deliver compelling presentations to demonstrate product efficacy and value proposition to stakeholders.
- Perform in-depth market research to uncover trends, emerging technologies, and opportunities for Plantible’s existing and potential future products.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create technical documentation and marketing materials that highlight the benefits and applications of our products.
- Represent Plantible at trade shows, conferences, and other relevant events, delivering presentations and sessions that highlight Plantible’s value proposition.
- Regular travel to customer sites to support technical needs, fostering strong professional relationships and advancing sales initiatives.
- Develop customer engagement tools including presentations, sell sheets, calculators and others needed to grow the business opportunity pipeline.
- Develop and/ or implement processes and dashboard to track and present internal business metrics for business development and commercialization.
- Engage in sample/ prototype preparation and testing- especially where needed for customer presentations.
- Develop and provide status updates on key initiatives and commercialization activities.
What you bring to Plantible:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemical engineering or related fields.
- Desirable to have at least 3 year of full-time or part-time experience in relevant areas of interest to the role, 5 years preferred.
- Relevant experience includes experience in key priority categories for Plantible including Dairy Alt, Meat Alt, Bakery & Snacks, RTM beverages, Sauces and dressings etc.) Experience in a commercial role is highly desirable.
- A relentless drive for results, demonstrated through a history of surpassing bold growth targets, clearly establishing product-market fit with new products/compounds.
- “Can-do” attitude with great flexibility and teamwork to structure customer opportunity pipeline and provide status updates to drive focus on top priorities.
- Knowledge of key categories (dairy alt, meat alt, bakery & snacks, RTM beverages, sauces/ dressings) that can use Plantible products.
- Capability to conduct hands-on work needed to drive success in customer opportunities. Skills to develop and implement customer facing collateral. Direct experience working with customers of interest to us.
- Experience with using and updating CRM software and opportunity pipeline.
- Marketing experience combined with technical background and experience. Culinary skills are a strong positive.
- Know how to build strong and trusted relationships with customers, understand their needs, and provide solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently; comfortable with providing and receiving candid feedback.
- A nimble mindset, embracing the speed and ambiguity of a startup environment.
- Proficiency in industry-standard processing, formulation, and testing methods.
