How You Will Contribute
We are looking for a Controller to join our growing company. This individual is responsible for the day-to-day accounting department operations and manages all aspects of Plantibles financial health and long-term growth. You will have the opportunity to make an immediate and sustainable impact in the development of the company by initiating and implementing process development projects, while having the opportunity to grow with a fast-moving startup.
What You Will Be Working On
- Help Plantible achieve its commercial and sustainability goals through efficient resource, capital and risk management.
- Maximizes return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
- Develop and implement financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury and cash management.
- Manage all operational accounting to ensure timely reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
What You Will Bring to Plantible
- B.S. or M.S. in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably in manufacturing industries
- Financial acumen with strong financial modeling skills and expertise with financial statements self-starter and problem solver with a great attention to detail, strong work ethic and a passion for excellence.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
- Strong communication skills and able to receive constructive feedback well
- Excelling in a dynamic and ambiguous environment a plus
- Willingness to commit to this next chapter in your life for the next five years.
