Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Director, ICHRA Business Operations & Strategy to join our Growth Strategy team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role:

The Director, ICHRA Business Operations & Strategy is responsible for evolving the foundational infrastructure of the business unit, building a strategic roadmap that translates into successful execution, and amplifying the leverage of the General Manager to achieve our ambitious ICHRA growth objectives. This is a high-impact role designed for a versatile operator who can pivot between high-level market scaling and the granular execution of daily operations, both internally and externally. Accountability includes achieving growth targets in conjunction with platform partners and internal cross-functional partners.

You will report into the VP, ICHRA General Manager.

Work Location: This position is based in our New York City office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid

Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $163,944 - $215,176 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants, and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary connective tissue between cross-functional partners to ensure smooth Go-To-Market cycle, breaking down any operational silos
  • Partner with Technology to ensure tech roadmap development and execution aligns with business need and prioritization
  • Design and implement operational playbook with scalable processes where none currently exist, and improving existing processes where needed
  • Identify and drive execution of cost-savings opportunities by collaborating with key business units

  • Program manage key company and department strategy initiatives
  • Monitor KPIs and drive the management process to keep the leadership team accountable
  • Support ICHRA representation in internal and external meetings, and in key forums with Oscar leadership
  • Drive the budgeting process and the fiscal performance for the team in partnership with the GM and FP&A partners
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of talent as ICHRA team grows, fostering an entrepreneurial culture within the broader enterprise
  • Assist in the creation and execution of line-of-business long-term strategy to enhance program's overall value, including key growth levers of product, network, marketing, member experience and sales
  • Own the ICHRA cross-functional operating model, including continuous improvement and execution, to ensure ongoing alignment and delivery of goals
  • Conduct competitive analysis and identify untapped growth levers to pivot or accelerate the business model, including key partnerships that catalyze top line ICHRA growth, and develop business cases to ensure ROI
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in healthcare strategy and operations, and or related field
  • 4+ years of experience managing individual contributors
  • 3+ years project planning experience

Bonus points:

  • Management Consulting experience with a focus on healthcare
