Oscar Health

Oscar Health

Remote
Posted 6+ months ago

Hi, we're Oscar. We’re hiring Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our Virtual Urgent Care team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

This is a 1099 independent contractor role. You must be licensed in both Texas and Georgia.

About the role:

We are looking for virtual care providers who are adept at providing telemedicine services and are always looking to explore new ways we can provide virtual care. You will be delivering patient care on Oscar’s platform(s) both via messaging and phone. As an Oscar Medical Group provider, you’ll have the opportunity to re-imagine how we diagnose, treat and follow up with members virtually. You will work remotely, and work hand in hand with our team to provide exceptional patient care. We’re building this program from the ground up, so you’ll be engaging with new products and tooling that we’re rolling out for the virtual care service lines. You’ll be expected to be flexible with these tools, but know that we’re building towards something transformative – you’re part of that growth!

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide top notch medical care virtually (both by phone and message)

  • Provide patient care in alignment with Oscar Medical Group guidelines, practices and policies

  • Focus on efficiency and quality of care delivery

  • Ensure patient access to VUC services

  • Collaborate with MAs, RNs, and other providers across service lines (e.g. primary care and health assessments)

Required Education & Experience:

  • DNP, FNP or ENP from an accredited nursing school with Nursing board certification

  • Qualified Physician Assistants will also be considered from accredited program

  • Licensed in both TX AND GA (CA and FL also a huge plus, but only in addition to TX and GA)

  • 3+ years experience in urgent care, ER or outpatient family medicine practice.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years of Telemedicine experience

  • Spanish language fluency (read, write, and speak - an assessment will be given prior to offer)
  • Licensed in other OMG states: AZ, CT, IA, IL, KS, MI, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, TN, VA

  • Weekend and/ or evening availability 6-9 pm PT
