As our Food Safety Program Coordinator, you will work with our Operations & Food teams to ensure the highest standards of food safety throughout Ollie. You’re a passionate Quality & Food Safety champion who confidently manages data, interprets metrics, and works with vendors and suppliers on industry best practices. With your expertise, we can continue delivering delicious, safe Ollie food into the bowls of pets everywhere.
This role will report to our Director of Food Safety & Quality Assurance and is based remotely in the US.
What You'll Do:
- Perform regular verifications of Ollie Food Safety programs, including HACCP, track & trace exercises, and vendor conformance to Ollie standards
- Review and disposition food product based on Ollie’s required food safety and quality testing thresholds
- Maintain FSQA KPIs, coordinate root cause analysis efforts, and inform Ollie Leadership of emerging trends
- Ensure regulatory compliance against 21 C.F.R. 117 for Human Grade Pet Food, sanitary transportation requirements, and retailer requirements for Ollie’s Fulfillment Network
- Manage Ollie Supplier Documentation for all new and existing vendors
- Provide training & support to customer-facing teams on quality and food safety, including dog health and safety related topics
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in food science, animal science, or related field
- 2+ years experience in a food safety, quality, or compliance role
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, including use of Excel
- Strong team player and ‘can do’ attitude – willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
