We are looking for an HR Generalist to join a dynamic People Operations team. In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to managers, support employees across the organization, and help drive a people-first culture across the Netherlands and Belgium.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & HRIS

  • Manage day-to-day HR activities for employees in the Netherlands and Belgium
  • Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems (including BambooHR)
  • Improve HR processes through automation and system optimization
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes

Payroll & Benefits

  • Support payroll coordination across NL and BE
  • Manage employee benefits such as insurance and pensions

Recruitment

  • Partner with hiring managers to attract and hire top talent
  • Source, screen, and guide candidates throughout the hiring process

Absenteeism Management

  • Handle absenteeism cases in compliance with Dutch regulations

Learning & Employee Experience

  • Support employee development and performance conversations
  • Drive engagement initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in a general HR role (international exposure is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes (recruitment, onboarding, payroll, absenteeism)
  • Solid understanding of Dutch labor law (Belgian law is a plus)
  • Bachelor-level education or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment
  • Willingness to work onsite in Veenendaal 2-3 days per week
