What You'll Do
- Operate directional drilling and cable plowing equipment safely and efficiently
- Install underground telecommunications, fiber optic, and utility lines
- Read utility locates, site plans, and job specifications
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work closely with laborers and crew members to complete projects on schedule
- Ensure all work is completed according to safety and quality standards
- Troubleshoot drilling and installation challenges in the field
- Maintain accurate jobsite documentation and communicate with supervisors
- Represent the company professionally on all jobsites
- Experience operating directional drills and/or cable plows preferred
- Knowledge of underground utility installation practices
- Ability to read locates and construction plans
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Dependable work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- CDL preferred or willingness to obtain one
- Team player with strong communication skills
