This role has multiple responsibilities during two phases~ construction and operations.

During construction~

  • Attend and contribute to Hazardous Operability studies for the pilot plant design
  • Assist in writing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Manage the construction crew daily
  • Conduct a daily toolbox talk each morning
  • Perform Hazardous Risk Assessments during construction
  • Maintain project schedule and provide weekly updates to management
  • Manage all work orders
  • Manage all lockouts, confined space entries, and occupational hygiene
  • Receive all deliveries

During operations~

  • Supervise operations and maintenance teams
  • Operate equipment as needed
  • Input and manage process data
  • Assist in data analytics
  • Optimize flowsheets
  • Schedule and manage sample analysis with external laboratories
  • Work flexible hours, including possible night shifts

This fast-paced role requires self-directed learning. There is potential to grow into a senior role after the pilot plant operation is complete.

Qualifications~

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Metallurgical, or Mechanical specialization)
  • Registered, or ability to register, as a PE in the state of Nevada
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience, especially in metallurgical operations
  • Highly organized with strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite®~ Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make recommendations
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, proactive environment with good time management
  • Able to collaborate in a technical, team-based environment
  • Preference given to candidates with metallurgical pilot plant and/or industrial plant construction experience
  • Must relocate to Las Vegas or reside in the area as the company operates from a newly acquired location there.
