About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Sales Engineer to join our growing team.

This is a high-impact, customer-facing role where you will drive both technical adoption and revenue growth by supporting customers throughout their journey — from discovery to long-term success.

You'll combine solutions engineering, sales support, Python prototyping, and hands-on deployments in a fast-moving, cutting-edge environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical advisor for customers across the full lifecycle
  • Conduct discovery sessions, product demos, and technical presentations
  • Develop Python-based proofs of concept (POCs) to validate customer use cases
  • Lead on-site deployments, integrations, and onboarding (multi-day visits)
  • Support sales cycles through:
    • Solution design
    • Technical validation
    • Proposal input
  • Translate complex concepts (quantum, AI, reservoir computing) into business value
  • Troubleshoot issues and manage support tickets effectively
  • Represent QCi at industry events, conferences, and customer briefings
  • Capture customer feedback to improve products, documentation, and processes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with:
    • Sales
    • Engineering
    • Product
    • Data Science
    • Marketing
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in:
    • Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Applied Math, IT, or related field
  • 5-8+ years in customer-facing technical roles, such as:
    • Solutions Engineer
    • Sales Engineer
    • Technical Account Manager
    • Customer Success Engineer
  • Proven experience:
    • Supporting sales cycles
    • Delivering demos
    • Influencing technical decisions
  • Strong Python skills:
    • Scripting & prototyping
    • Experience with libraries (pandas, numpy)
  • Understanding of:
    • APIs, system architecture, permissions, and infrastructure basics
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Deployments
    • System integrations
    • Troubleshooting hardware/software
  • Excellent communication skills (technical + non-technical audiences)
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with tools like:
    • Jira
    • Confluence
    • Salesforce
    • Ticketing systems
  • Willingness to travel 30-50% (including multi-day onsite visits)
