About The Role

We are seeking a Semiconductor Process Engineer to join our advanced wafer fabrication team.

In this role, you will help develop and manufacture cutting-edge optoelectronic devices, including:

  • Avalanche photodetectors
  • Laser diodes
  • Photonic integrated circuits

This is a hands-on engineering role where you will own process development, optimization, and production support in a cleanroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and define new semiconductor fabrication processes and process flows
  • Continuously optimize existing manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with device designers to fabricate and improve photonic devices
  • Develop and refine processes including:
    • Thin film deposition
    • Wet etching, RIE, and DRIE
  • Perform photolithography mask design (CAD/layout)
  • Develop wafer diffusion processes for III-V semiconductors
  • Create and maintain:
    • Process documentation
    • Run sheets
    • Work instructions
  • Analyze relationships between process parameters and device performance
  • Monitor process variation and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Evaluate new device specifications to estimate:
    • Cost
    • Yield
    • Feasibility
  • Support compliance with industry certifications and standards
  • Operate and maintain fabrication equipment for both R&D and production
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Materials Science
    • Or related field
  • 4+ years of hands-on semiconductor fabrication experience
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Semiconductor process technology
    • Device physics
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment
  • Ability to:
    • Work independently
    • Manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in:
    • DOE (Design of Experiments)
    • SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • Excellent documentation and process-writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for wafer handling
  • Commitment to safety protocols and chemical handling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
